     Dr. Sellers obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Houston in 1976.  He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1980.  He completed his internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in 1981.  He received his wings as a Navy Flight Surgeon in 1982 and served as a Flight Surgeon and General Medical Officer until 1985.  He completed his General Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Fellowship at the Southwestern Medical Center Dallas in 1988 and 1989.

     In 1989, he rejoined the US Navy in order to serve as the sole Child Psychiatrist for the > 10,000 military dependents in Mainland Japan.  In 1992, he transfered to the National Naval Medical Center.  In 1994, he opened his clinical practice of psychiatry in San Antonio Texas.

     Dr. Sellers is Board Certified in General Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry.

     He is a adjunct associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UTHSCSA and an assistant professor of psychiatry at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.  He teaches psychotherapy, forensic psychiatry, and the private practice of psychiatry.

     Dr. Sellers is a member of several professional organizations including the American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, American Academy of Psychiatry and Law, the Texas Medical Association, and Bexar County Medical Association.

     Dr. Sellers has been selected to be a "Best Doctor in America" by his peers, a recognition given to fewer than 5% of practicing physician.
